Privacy Policy

This policy explains how IdentifAI.ca handles information when you use our browser fingerprint report, comparison dataset, and accounts.

Information we collect

The fingerprint report runs automatically when you open the homepage. We process browser and device characteristics, request headers, and your IP address to display your report and compare browser fingerprints.

The comparison dataset stores keyed signal hashes, a pseudonymous browser identifier, and timestamps. It does not retain raw IP addresses or raw attribute values. Accounts store your Firebase user ID, email address, and display name.

Essential cookies support signed-in sessions. Browser storage recognizes repeat samples and remembers preferences.

How we use it

We use this information to show your browser attributes, calculate how often they appear in our dataset, recognize returning browser samples, and operate your account. Fingerprint matches describe browser similarities; they do not establish a person's identity.

Dataset samples are separate from account records. We restrict access to stored information and protect saved signal values with keyed hashes.

Retention

Browser samples are saved automatically and retained for one year (365 days) after their most recent update. Expired samples are excluded from comparisons and removed through scheduled cleanup.

Service providers

Firebase Authentication provides account sign-in. Our hosting providers process information needed to operate the website.

With your permission, Google Analytics measures visits to public information pages. It is excluded from fingerprint reports and account pages. We do not send fingerprint samples or account details to Google Analytics.

Your choices

You can use the fingerprint report without an account. Visit your account to review your account information. Analytics preferences are available in the footer of information pages.
